Scary Expro?

Dear Bone's lair,
It would appear that I scare away men. This comes somewhat as a surprise to me, as I am not of a particularly terrifying variety, and yet some cower in my presence.Recently I had been on a few dates, and I scared away all the guys. T_T
They typically like me, up until they are done talking about themselves and ask my opinion on something.
It would appear that to appeal to men in NYC I should just smile and nod, say all the right things and play dumb while stroking their ego. This revelation has led me to debate if I should drop the straight half of my sexuality. Though I tend to prefer men sexually, this is really starting to annoy. Of course women are not without flaws, but I rather put up with the PMS of a woman than that of a man as a woman's PMS lasts only a week or so, but the PMS of a NYC hipster is a life long struggle.
In short, should I simply give up on men?
Thank you very much for reading my somewhat alcohol influenced plea for help.
